See Our ProjectsDidier Design Studio creates original furniture that is both purposeful and poetic - works that delight and emotionally connect, with designed engineering and durability to last.
Our meticulous process prioritises this longevity, scrutinises materiality and utilises low-VOC finishes and FSC-certified timber. We focus on waste reduction through efficient use of materials and employ recyclable packaging with blanket wrapping for freight.
Our take-back program Phoenix is a sustainability program that aims to create a second life for Didier products. Phoenix is a powerful metaphor for renewal, resilience and transformation achieved by enabling the reuse of Didier products through both a repair, refurbishment or resale. Non-reusable pieces are responsibly recycled, reducing landfill and supporting sustainability.
Together we extend product life, reduce waste, and allow your Didier furniture to rise again!
“I’ve always imagined my pieces as functional pets, individual characters and loyal companions that live alongside us. They serve with purpose yet hold presence; dependable, attentive, almost sentient in the way they witness our lives. Much more than objects, they become part of the household rhythm, absorbing light, conversation, celebration, and solitude. My hope is that each piece forms an emotional bond with the spaces it inhabits, carrying the imprint of daily rituals and shared moments. In time, it is not the furniture itself that endures, but the memories it carries forward through years of living.”
Ross Didier
We believe as originators of engineered art - designed and crafted to endure - it is our responsibility to make sure those products have an opportunity to come to life by contributing to a sustainable future, helping restore biodiversity and create homes for Australian wildlife.
One way we do this is by committing to the Plant-a-Tree program. For every Didier product sold we Plant-a-Tree as part of the Carbon Neutral restoration program that reconnects habitats by linking small patches of remaining vegetation to create a 200km green corridor from inland to the coast. Plant-a-Tree grows critical habitat for native wildlife on historically cleared land in a Global Biodiversity Hotspot
Throughout history, pets have occupied a space that is at once domestic and divine. From sacred beings to symbols of power and lineage, our companions reveal a deeper truth: they are not ornamental additions to life, but emotional constants. They guard our thresholds, witness our private rituals, and move quietly through our memories. Whether honoured in temples or resting at a royal bedside, they remind us that companionship - loyal, wordless and enduring has always been essential to what makes a home feel complete.
Yet today, that bond is fragile. Every year in Australia, more than 180,000 healthy and rehomeable dogs and cats are euthanised in pounds. These animals, each carrying their own histories and capacity for connection, deserve the chance to be adopted, embraced and loved as part of a family. In recognition of this, Didier proudly supports the pet rescue organisation Starting Over, contributing to the daily care, rehabilitation and medical support that gives vulnerable cats and dogs the opportunity to begin again, and to become someone’s constant companion.
